Scope and Contents

There is one membership register that has a list of charter members, pastors and membership. There are no baptisms recorded. There are loose membership roll pages with scantily completed information, no baptismal information. One folder of conference reports (1953-1962), and one folder of closure information.

Church History

The church began following revival meetings held in the East Bethel school house by the Rev. Callihan of Industry in 1904. In 1905, the new congregation received a plot of land and built a small frame church, which was dedicated in September 1905

The church celebrated its 50th anniversary with a rededication of the building. Many former members were in attendance at the special service with a potluck that followed.

In 1962, because the attendance was small, the congregation voted to close and have the last worship service on June 3.
